Hi there!

First, I want to say congratulations! This is one of the most exciting times in your life. I am sure you can feel the anticipation rising. Your little of bundle of joy is growing rapidly and you can probably already feel your body beginning to change.

I'll keep this short, simple, and to the point. I want to provide you with some helpful places to start.

First, off it's never too early to start taking your prenatal. Your body is working extremely hard. It is demanding energy that is comparable to running a marathon every single day for the next 9 months.

This is where nutrition comes into play, but its hard to make sure we always get the right stuff. This is where a really good prenatal comes into play. When picking out a prenatal, try to avoid ones that have Folic Acid. Why? Because 44% of the populations has a MTHFR gene mutation that doesn't even allow them to process it. That means that about half of you might be wasting your money. You want to look for one that has Folate. Folate comes from natural sources while Folic Acid is synthetic.

Why is Folate important? It prevents severe birth defects in the brain & spine. So yes, I would say it's pretty important. My favorite is Garden of Life Prenatal Vitamins. A close second is MegaFood Baby & Me 2 Prenatal. These are great because they offer a smaller sized vitamin if you hate taking large vitamins and they have a gummy vitamin options.

Now... lets talk about nausea. It is the worst. Sometimes you feel just great & other times you might feel less than ideal. I remember one time walking through Trader Joes and almost barfing in the vegetable isle. Pregnancy will make your body do funny things, but something that would help alleviate my nausea was ginger chews. I would slowly suck on them & it really helped. I would find them at my local Trader Joes, but if you need them ASAP then Amazon has them handy too.

Finally, something that initially grossed me out ended up being my holy grail during & after pregnancy was Beef Organ Supplements. I know. I get it, but these provide a whole bunch of goodies that our bodies need. They prevent anemia in the mother & help with energy. It can also help with nausea as it contains a lot of B vitamins and B6 helps with nausea.

So, now I hope that I have left you with a good starting place. I wish you all the best on your journey to having your beautiful baby.
